Hi guys, here I am going to post some works I have done for training, practicing and gaining some skills for the concept art business. Here are some excercises based on drawings from sparth, flaptraps, James Paick, Ashley Wood, between some others masters.

I work in photoshop and painter mostly.

I hope you like them and any comment or critics will be more than welcome.

Really awesome work you got here.
The third of editorial volunted could use a bit more blending on the guys jackets but that's a minor thing.

What is the function of those white space thingies??

You've got some nice things going on in these pieces and a lot of them show a high degree of technical expertise. However, I think most of them are suffering from a lack of planning/ solid drawing. If you spend more time thinking about what you want to create and planning it out, I think your pieces would be stronger.

Some "cool" factor in your pieces, but I see a lack of "fundamentals", anatomy and values in the first place, instead of focusing on the cool brushes and textures, spend more time doing some more live drawing with a model or using a mirror, and practice more on the values working in greyscale first (pencils or digital doesn't matter;))

Hey guys
thank you for the comments, I apreciate u for taking the time to wrinte something.
So, I've been taking into account some of the things you have said and I have been working on those aspects, after all as the name of this post says, this is a training

Here are some portraits I have done for practicing grey values, ilumination, gestures, etc... They are not paintovers, but they are based on photographies (I know it's not the best way, but I don't have a model right now so, they are just excercises)

Right now I'm doing some excercises of human figure and next I'll try to paint enviroments... hope you like them

Comments and crits are more than welcome
