I was just wondering if i could be either pointed to the right thread, or pointed to some good sites with searchable photoref (environments in particular). I normally use corbis and google, but higher res or higher quality photos would be nice. Thanks in advance,:painting:

http://www.flickr.com hands down kicks all sorts of ass.
http://www.sxc.hu is alright, but doesn't compare.

Yeah, for environmental stuff Flikr can't be beat, and lots of the stuff is high res. The downside is that searching and browsing aren't as efficient as the commercial stock sites, and some users don't allow downloading (which can be circumvented, but is a pain).

Yeah that can be a pain, what I do is just go to advanced search and tick both the boxes saying can be used commercially.

For landscapes terra galleria (http://www.terragalleria.com/) is good and easy to browse but for high res photographs i think u got to register or something like that.
