August 26th, 2008, 08:18 PM
Welcome dude thanks for sharing. Fantastic job on the mech guy, really sharp and great effects.
I like how you've kept the focal point on your water beast on the rider using sharpness and contrast. I will admit I get a little lost in his environment, maybe with so many colors? some studies would be great to show as well :)
August 26th, 2008, 08:19 PM
LOVEING your art.

September 15th, 2008, 02:54 PM
Wow thanks all :)
edmundwork > I work as a freelance illustrator in France. This time i'm working on a trading card game but i want to find a job in video-games.
Trashy > Yeah i'm a big fan of armored core ^^
Some new pictures
September 15th, 2008, 03:15 PM
wow good job dude your work is really good!! dont sharpen your images too much though
September 15th, 2008, 03:18 PM
Holy bojangles this was a heap of solid stuff man! I would try to take it a step further now and focus on the more subtle changes in colours and saturations, but that will come. Again, solid, solid stuff!
September 15th, 2008, 03:47 PM
Excellent introduction, P.E. Have you done any book covers?
September 15th, 2008, 03:47 PM
That last one is so cool!
September 15th, 2008, 04:13 PM
I am curious how much time did you spent to make each of these ? I am not looking for an exact number here just an estimate. The quality of your work is top notch and I have to agree with all the comments.
September 15th, 2008, 05:33 PM
mad stuff over here man! nice work. keep it up
September 15th, 2008, 05:37 PM
cool stuff dude, keep posting!, cheers! :D
September 15th, 2008, 05:58 PM
From what you have shown, you have a very good sense of light and atmosphere aswell as a good handle on texture. The underlying structure is the only thing that seems to be lacking, i would step from rendering and do some plain b&w textureless studies to strengthen your drawing abillities.
(Im not necessarily the one to speak, but that's how i see it.)
September 25th, 2008, 10:06 AM
Thanks all ^^
Vulgar: no, only some pictures for school book.
kilon: 2 hours(octopus for ex) to 8 hours (prototype ship)
Rarebits: you are totaly right, pure drawing is a weakness in my works but i work it sometimes.
September 25th, 2008, 10:34 AM
Woah i've just discovered your thread and i must admit: thats a helluva start for a SB!
That last update is really good!
Hope ull keep'em coming.
September 25th, 2008, 11:11 AM
wow PE good!! the last post isn't really your style, i mean you don't practice same but it's great too, ow i think really good level up ^^
September 25th, 2008, 01:19 PM
Very nice sketchbook!!!
September 25th, 2008, 02:22 PM
really love the design for big boy
September 25th, 2008, 06:20 PM
amazing stuff man! thats inspiration pure! i absolutely love the giant octopus!!!
September 25th, 2008, 09:16 PM
textures are very good in here, need some more work on the structure, but all in all you are doing great. Do some studies, as those are always good to do, and just keep moving foreward^^
September 26th, 2008, 01:53 AM
I dig the helmet of the sword/buckler fighter, nice shapes...perhaps he needs more light source definition overall?
Great pose with the polearm weilding woman :) I think the skirt needs a more round perspective over the forward leg, and perhaps the upper leg feels a bit long for how the hips are positioned?
The big boy is also very nice, however the knee and foot placement of 'our' right leg is incorrect? Sorry to be picky, just tossing it out there in case you're going to work on them further. Great stuff!
September 26th, 2008, 06:22 AM
very good concept
September 26th, 2008, 07:11 AM
P.E how long on average does one of the more detailed works take??
September 26th, 2008, 08:25 AM
woawww amazing !!
and your english is better than me !!! lol
September 26th, 2008, 08:29 AM
The first page rocks! :)
September 26th, 2008, 08:31 AM
Wow love this last batch, really cool concepts. I like the way the knights are real charicatures, but you've retained the realism and grittiness of your other stuff.
Keep it up :}
September 26th, 2008, 08:44 AM
The lighting and the textures are so awesome. The big prototype ship thing is my favourite so far. The atmosphere you manage to capture is awesome and how fast you paint such detail is jaw dropping too.
September 26th, 2008, 09:35 AM
The monster in the very first picture you posted in this thread looks like a limp penis complete with ballsack...
Just thought I'd point that out. :p
The rest looks really great though ;)
September 26th, 2008, 10:13 AM
dude thats freaking sweet, welcome to CA, <i think you should take another pass on the legs on the "big-boy" though.
September 26th, 2008, 06:38 PM
F'n beautiful! Want to see more, and would love to see some progress shots...
October 18th, 2008, 03:39 PM

February 18th, 2009, 05:41 PM
i like your works and your style
February 18th, 2009, 07:25 PM
mmmmmm, tasty environments. Just watch the edges a little, especially in that last one, some of them seem a little too sharp where they needn't be. Otherwise, awesome atmosphere etc.
March 2nd, 2009, 06:12 PM
Thanks all ^^
Asahi : Ahhhh c'était le bon vieux temps ça^^
March 2nd, 2009, 09:44 PM
Awsome material and reflection works on those two , still i'm not so fond of the design of 4 legged bot ^^
y n'empeche le Behemot c'est une vieille illus qui fonctionne toujours bien , pour ma part , bien que tu lvl up , la difference de niveau ne se ressent pas sur celle ci ... le signe d'une image de grand qualite assurement !!
March 2nd, 2009, 10:00 PM
The mountains in your last environment seem kind of flat though. I can tell they are receding into the distance because of the overlap, but they look kinda more like paper cutouts of mountains.
Keep it going!
March 3rd, 2009, 04:26 PM
March 3rd, 2009, 05:12 PM

the 2 last ones are really powerful! thanks for inspireing.
March 24th, 2009, 07:10 PM
Hey thanks all ^^
March 24th, 2009, 08:40 PM
Cool speedpaints! If I had to pick one favorite it would be the orange spaceship racing track one. So much energy in that painting! I have one crit about the last concept. The right leg placement looks off, like it's in a different perspective or something.
March 24th, 2009, 11:09 PM
i love robots! too bad there not real..
the last one looks like ironman decided that he wanted a new costume with a halo lazer beam.
if i may crit.. his left arm looks really small compared to the rest of his body.. but besides that these are looking great
April 16th, 2009, 07:02 PM
h2rra > Thanks. Yes i have always some problems with the legs
Reject-D> Thank you too, i must practice more with characters.
Small update, but i will corect this soon^^

Just a step
April 17th, 2009, 01:12 PM
Love the last one. The comp, colors, and texture look great! Keep up the great work!
April 17th, 2009, 03:32 PM
Hey, just browsed to your sketchbook and it's awesome. I love how rough yet complete your images are. Would love to see some of your commissioned more rendered stuff tho, curious how that looks.
April 17th, 2009, 11:47 PM
Great book! :)
April 18th, 2009, 12:39 AM
Sooo cool. How long do you spend on these, you should spend another hour or two on one and make it amazing! Where do you work? My only advice is keep kicking ass. The atmosphere and lighting and modeling is so cool.
April 20th, 2009, 01:07 PM
Loo Holsten > Thank you
Teundeboer > Thank you too. I cant show my proffessional work for now.
fersteger> Thanks, I work as freelance for now. I will finish this one later.
