Welcome dude thanks for sharing. Fantastic job on the mech guy, really sharp and great effects.

I like how you've kept the focal point on your water beast on the rider using sharpness and contrast. I will admit I get a little lost in his environment, maybe with so many colors? some studies would be great to show as well :)

Holy bojangles this was a heap of solid stuff man! I would try to take it a step further now and focus on the more subtle changes in colours and saturations, but that will come. Again, solid, solid stuff!

September 15th, 2008, 05:58 PM
From what you have shown, you have a very good sense of light and atmosphere aswell as a good handle on texture. The underlying structure is the only thing that seems to be lacking, i would step from rendering and do some plain b&w textureless studies to strengthen your drawing abillities.
(Im not necessarily the one to speak, but that's how i see it.)

Thanks all ^^

Vulgar: no, only some pictures for school book.

kilon: 2 hours(octopus for ex) to 8 hours (prototype ship)

Rarebits: you are totaly right, pure drawing is a weakness in my works but i work it sometimes.

textures are very good in here, need some more work on the structure, but all in all you are doing great. Do some studies, as those are always good to do, and just keep moving foreward^^

I dig the helmet of the sword/buckler fighter, nice shapes...perhaps he needs more light source definition overall?

Great pose with the polearm weilding woman :) I think the skirt needs a more round perspective over the forward leg, and perhaps the upper leg feels a bit long for how the hips are positioned?

The big boy is also very nice, however the knee and foot placement of 'our' right leg is incorrect? Sorry to be picky, just tossing it out there in case you're going to work on them further. Great stuff!

The lighting and the textures are so awesome. The big prototype ship thing is my favourite so far. The atmosphere you manage to capture is awesome and how fast you paint such detail is jaw dropping too.

Awsome material and reflection works on those two , still i'm not so fond of the design of 4 legged bot ^^

y n'empeche le Behemot c'est une vieille illus qui fonctionne toujours bien , pour ma part , bien que tu lvl up , la difference de niveau ne se ressent pas sur celle ci ... le signe d'une image de grand qualite assurement !!

The mountains in your last environment seem kind of flat though. I can tell they are receding into the distance because of the overlap, but they look kinda more like paper cutouts of mountains.

Cool speedpaints! If I had to pick one favorite it would be the orange spaceship racing track one. So much energy in that painting! I have one crit about the last concept. The right leg placement looks off, like it's in a different perspective or something.

i love robots! too bad there not real..
the last one looks like ironman decided that he wanted a new costume with a halo lazer beam.

if i may crit.. his left arm looks really small compared to the rest of his body.. but besides that these are looking great
