Today I've been looking for some free animation programs, and right now plastic animation paper seems to be nice in the quality of image and ease of use - are there any other good ones that you use?

theres a couple out there...
sorry, I don't remember any. But theres one specific program I am quite fond of called Pencil (for the more traditional); http://www.les-stooges.org/pascal/pencil/index.php?id=Home
Works basically the same way as traditional animation goes, just without wasting paper :)

bigzax the Pencil animation that Coinpurse links to is a decent animation program. If you´re new to the forum... the underlined text in Coinpurse's reply is the link just click it and you´ll get to the Pencil program´s homepage.
If you´re to make a stopmotion movie or just going to scan or use a digital or web-camera to get your images you could try monkey jam (click here to get to the homepage) (http://giantscreamingrobotmonkeys.com/monkeyjam/features.html)
