i think sword in his right hand must be a long one, this will give ot a more killer look.

The lower body looks a tad off, the legs are very bowed. But then again with no muscle and sinew to hold them in place, I am not sure how I would fix it.
Not to be picky, but wouldn't this be more accurately named Skeletal Samurai?

i like it...balance seems a bit off, but it's a skeleton. i'm just wondering why a samurai is wearing a peasant farmer's hat?

Sony: I agree with swaping the swords. Good idea.
Irate: I thought about adding skin, tendons,etc... I like the look of the clean skeleton. Next version I'll try the opposite.
Clocktower: I've always likes the look of the hat. He could have been a lone samurai rather than a soldier?

Not bad at all. I would like to see a little more care taken with the tree in the background, and I also think you need to make the interior of the hat darker, and then play up the yellow-white color of the skull so that it pops out a bit more.

First off, it's a nice picture.
With that said, I'm a little confused as to why a samurai would be wearing a hat made out of straw.
A foot soldier might have worn a hat shaped like that, but it was made out of metal.
Hehe. Maybe that is why this guy is dead... :D
Anyhow, check out this website for reference if you want to change any of the armor around later, or do another picture.

If nothing else it is cool to look at.

Sweet! Thanks for the referance!
I want to build somethiing similar in Maya. I'll use more referance when I do.
The tree was rushed. It could use some polish. I like the idea of darkening the inside of the STRAW ;) hat to make sthe skull pop.
Thanks for the input!
