Aussies - A thought

Hey guys I am a relatively new artist and live near Sydney and would love to meet some other artists and sketch together and learn from each other. I was thinking we could set up a life drawing group or something like that. Let me know guys if there is anyone out there interested! Cheers :)

Heya dude,

im starting a sketch group sorta thingy around parramatta, but we may travel to the city occasionally... cause thats what i use to do with a couple other artists - and look for good spots to sketch....
Im starting it this sunday - and it'll be a weekly thing of every sunday... We usually meet infront of Max Brenner (the chocolate restaurant), right next to parra station around 10am and sketch till whenever....

(EDIT): sorta faded off, sorry, Sketch-group closed.... i'd recommend briggsy's sketch club on sundays! :)

I look after a regular life drawing session every Sunday at Ashton's, 117 George St, The Rocks
10.00am -12.00 noon: 1 to 20 minute poses - $9
1.00-4.30 pm: long pose, usually over four Sundays - $15

awesome! i was hoping this info could get consolidated somewhere :)

I rocked up for regular fonas tonight only to find it was randomly called off. Thats happened a few times. Id recommend double checking dates there.

However, it is AWESOME pricing. $50 buys you a one year membership, which includes 2x 3hr sessions a week, and a membership card which acts as a student card, discount card at most art, framing and stationary stores, gives you a free exhibition once a year, and a newsletter to your door with pretty good info for fine arts grants/awards/scholarships.

DO EET! would love to see some peeps grinding conte at sketchclub :)

oh yeah and julian ashtons is more expensive, but much better in the way of atmosphere, quality of life, and a thousand times better in terms of friendly and knowledgable instructors!

some sweet ideas I am busy as atm finishing up uni which sucks as I havnt been able to concentrate on my art. But in a few weeks I will try get something organized. :) Should be awesome!
