Thanks for the reply, i saw the sec. you where talking about. Maybe im an idiot, but i have no idea what the hell all that means. This is my first time posting on a website....sorry heh. Anyways, it seemed like you needed a website to post an image? That cant be right. Am i way off here? Ive never even heard of vB code before.

Yes, you need some webspace. There are plenty of free servers out there and this shouldnt be too much of a problem. Some ISP's offer a small amount of webspace free with your account.

You need to:

1. Upload your image to your webspace (take note of the URL e.g., http://www.wherever.com/yourimage.jpg)

2. In the body of your post (the bit where youre typing your reply) type
' http://www.wherever.com/yourimage.jpg'
(alternatively, just above the box in which you type your reply, there is a button that says "IMG", you can just click it and then folow the insrtuctions in the window that pops up)

3. Hit Submit Reply :)

vB code consists of 'tags' (words inside square brackets) and it just tells the forum software how to display whatever is between the tags.

no worries.

i think maybe we should have a stickie at the top of the lounge with a list of free servers and how to post images etc. these sort of questions seem to get asked pretty frequently and it might help...

good idea?
