OK don't laugh! Here's my first attempt at producing digital work. I did the initial sketch in goauche and then played with it in Photoshop until I felt it was at a point I couldn't move any further on. I'd love everyone's advice and thoughts. And when I put this on my blog it was pointed out that that the sky was choppy. I know . i was trying to copy Dave MacKean. LOL.

be careful with cloud redundancy. top feels a bit simple juxtaposed with that great texture-rich bottom half. hand looks just kinda thrown in too.

critiques aside, this is definitely a cool painting. it reminds me just a little bit of dave mckean, due to slight photographic feel in sky and texture smudging in the bottom. i'll definitely check out your blog.

Thank you so much! I feel like there is a different aesthetic when using photographic materials and I'm a bit blind to some of the pit falls. Your advice really, really helps. ( great work on your site! I'll be looking close to see what I can learn from you!)
