Graphic Artist Wanted for Comic Logo

I have a fairly small, yet important, assignment for my graphic novel to be released in 2009.

I'm looking for a full colour title logo for my comic book - The Dark Light - something striking and stylish, one part sci-fi and one part horror, that incorporates crystals, metallic parts, and lots of electrical energy.

I've attached a cover I particularly liked from a few years ago, but I'd like something tidier and cleaner.

Payment rates to be negotiated, but will certainly be competitive with those in the industry.

One last word, if you do email me, please do send me examples of work similar to what I'm looking for (or close to the image, below). Works which don't have any examples won't receive a reply as it's impossible to know whether you can do the job. Please bear this in mind before applying for this position.

Just a quick reminder, to help you to get the best out of these assignments.

Only apply for a job position if you have a suitable portfolio showing illustrations pertinent to the job request. I've had a few people sending me their standard art links saying "I could do a great job here even though I've not got any samples".

How can I know whether you could do the job when i cannot see a single logo in your portfolio - you're asking me to work completely blind.

Please do consider this when applying for positions as you're just wasting your time and the time of the recruiter by sending empty requests to job offers.

I had over 300 applications for the graphic novel position, and only perhaps thirty of them actually included sequential art. It makes choosing the right artist incredibly difficult (and even more time consuming).

Hi steven i would be very interested in design the logo for you.
I have a dipolma in graphic art design but cannot do photoshop yet.
I have done a few logo that i can show what was in my exam.
