A couple of paintings I been working on.
The undead metal dude was painted in oils on illustration board and the other was digital. Any crits would be great, it's obvious that the clouds are bit weak and too hard in appearance.

I really like the metal dude piece, aside from clouds as you mentioned. There's nice detail in the jacket and the saturated glow in his hair is really good. It's vague in the description of the background. I imagine a wasteland with similar piles of garbage that recede to the horizon. Find some reference of clouds and junkyards.
The plant guy is cool, but I think you could benefit from some more reference material for the environment.

Thanks, I appreciate your input, your right about the background of the metal dude. I should have put some more of a landscape fading out into the distance, which probably would have given the pile he's standing on more reason to be there
I still got quite a bit to learn about environments. I'm trying to find that sort of area in how to paint them without too much detail or too little detail. you know, capture the essence at least...the essence of the wilderness.
