In the vein of Ed Repka, a fairly popular thrash metal album artist... lots of zombies and violets.

kick ass work. i love the old-school feeling it have almost like an iron maiden cover or maybe old megadeth.
i know its finished but the only comment i could say is on the barrel.it look a bit too "tubish" , i mean if i remember barrel usually have some kind of rim along it.
Plus it would break the straight feeling of it.

ohhh, I know that band... Lich King right? I like the 'keepin with the old style' bit, but the composition could use some fixin up. Would be better if he was centered as well I think.

Looks great! I love the colors, especially. Definitely looks oldschool and I agree with the Megadeth/Maiden comparison.

man this is so cool, really has the 80's thrash metal vibe within.
is this a personal piece or for a client? I wouldn't be surprised if it was for a band like Toxic Holocaust.

Nahh, Toxic Holocaust are fond of colored ink stuff in a kinda EC horror vein. This is for Lich King (Mr. Delicious was right), my band: www.myspace.com/lichkingband

So yeah, it's KINDA client-based, but the client is me so I got a big discount.

Thanks for your comments, I'm proud of it. I agree though... the can is a bit flat.

The composition would really sing if the foreground zombies were at some point actually overlapping the King and his waste. Right now they're sort of disconnected. It's also got this sliding sideways feel because your figures are gradually going down in height, and farther back in space from right to left. It really makes me want to see a zombie taller, or closer to the viewer on that left side so that the King is nicely framed.

That said, love the retro colors and the waste-zombies. That yellow really pops out!

This would be horrible and disturbing, if the colors and the glow were not so beautiful and mesmerizing. Great work!

Here's the one I just wrapped up. Layout is another artist I don't have the name of. I'm also not responsible for the logo.
