What color laser should I get?

I just found out that I might get 900usd back on taxes. I'm thinking of getting a color laser for printing out reference pics, cool artwork, portfolios and random stuff.
Inkjets are so messy and run out of ink all the time, plus the cartridges are expensive. The laser toners are too but you don't have to change them that often.
Are the color lasers worth their money today? How's the quality compared to say, fine gloss-paper magazine/comic print?

We have color laser printers at school and the quality is pretty decent (though the blacks don't get really black which bothers me a bit) Don't know the prices thouhg, at school they charge us 5 SEK for an A4 print and 10 SEK for an A3.

Here's (http://alextornberg.com/art/temp/bear.jpg) a print of my Thunderdome entry which have been scanned from print, haven't messed with levels or anything. As you see the quality is still pretty decent even though its been printed and then scanned again.

Thanks for the reply al-x. What happened to the green background? The printout seem lighter.

E-mail Feng Zsu he has a really nice printer that he loves but I can't remember what kind it is !! He does a lot of printing so it must be good :dead:

al-x: They changed printers in school this year, didn't they? I wish Hasse could have given me the last one :).
What model do they have now? I think the printers are pretty expensive. Could be fun to know what kinda printer and the pricetag for the one they got now...
