First I'll comment on the left pic :

The bad sides : All I can say is the face is odd... Nothing specific, Might be the nose that's throwing it off. the shoulders are a bit masculine.

The good sides : Good shadows, Nice cloth, Nice hair, nice contours.. = I likey.

Secondly I'll comment on the right pic :

The bad sides : Shadows are undefined, no real shadows at allin this pic, makes it kind of hard to make out everything that's going on in it.

The good sides : Nice pose , Great transperent wings, the head is at a good angle. Overall a very good artwork.

Final verdict : The only definite thing I can say is that the shadows arent really there.. Othervice it's a whole lot better than what I can do :)

Overall it looks promising.. i'd say you should study anatomy and it'll probably fall into place for you.. don't stop drawing. :cat;
