Any advice would rock, thanks. I think the grass is my biggest problem right now. Thats some mean stuff to try to paint.

quality of your art's definitely improved since i last saw it.
as far as your grass question, best answer i can give is that it doesnt appear attached to the ground, so some shadow and disturbance around where the grass has sprouted up should help some.

The emotional feel of the pic is great. I like the style also.

Try blocking in the grass in flat tones . Detail in the foreground, then just use tone in the background. You don't have to draw every strand of grass.
Also remember that water takes on the colour of the sky. Work on that stream to make it 'sit in' more.
Pretty good use of photos.

The face on that little gremlin holding the leaf reminds me of Hobbes from "Calvin and Hobbes". Really nice stuff.
