Some older "warrior" concept art I made. I know he's face looks a bit strange in the first one, but it's acually the camera angle thats bad :p . I wanted to change it, but it had taken my computer 52 hours to render it all "dagm dof and gi), and since my computer located next to my bed... yes it was hard sleeping. enjoy!

you can get get large one's here:

I like the shots that were just plain white gl rendered. the one where he's in the scene, the lighting just looks really bad and makes your model look dumb. but the little shots where you cropped makes me want to see the model with the gl lighting. those look cool. but maybe you cropped for a reason?

True true, my point exactly, the lighting and angle of the shot are totally screwing the model, because the model might not be all that, but it's not THAT bad (just my own opinion). I think it might have something to do with the high contrast light i have used, to make the sunlight feel. i donno

The equipment is awesome, but the model's anatomy is pretty off. I think if you're going to go that detailed with everything, go all out. Model the eyes so that they actually have a cornea with transparency and some refraction... laid over the iris, it looks really nice. Fix the anatomy on the model, and you're all set. The main thing is that his jaw line comes all the way back, past his ear... it should come up to the ear. And the mouth doesn't really look right. Fix those, and put more detail in the eyes, and it'll match the mastership of the equipment more. Whew... my two cents. Maybe that was more three cents worth, ay? Peace.

your object modeling and texturing look great- you should colaberate with a modeler that has a gift for the figure. a strong figure model would add more creditibility and realism to your object modeling skills.

or you could go the route of just showing off the equipment only by modeling a maniquin. as if the equipment was in a store.
no detail. just a representation of the human form without muscles, hell he probably doesn't even need arms.
you might try that.

otherwise, colab with someone that does the human form real well.

colaberating with another artist sound great, it's just that I don't know that many people doing 3d graphics (unless bryce counts). Maby ill find some one this forum, who knows. Anyway, im upping my skills as a 2d artist at the moment, and there's now way to do that without studying anatomy. Also, the composition of the image is horrible, and though I tried many angles, moving the trees, f-stop and stuff, I just couldn't get an attractive composition out of it. One more thing I need to learn I guess. Thanks for the comments.
