Hi Guys!
I think it would be cool if we had a thread for those awesome pictures from the Olympics! ( I mean the pics of the athletes in action, not the opening ceremony)
It doesn't even have to be from the 2008 Olympics, past Olympic pictures would do fine as well.
The facial expressions, bodies in motion..pure "reference and art study" gold!

I think her name was meant to be anastia, not nastia. Thanks for the links though.

Her is name is Anastasia "Nastia" Valeryevna Liukin ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nastia_Liukin), but she goes by Nastia when performing.

I think your other suggestion is misplaced and a litttle disrespectful to the sport. Those teenagers are the greatest athletes in the world, and their reutines are insanely difficult and impressive.

This is not supposed to be a discussion thread though, so lets just stick to posting pictures. :)

Here are few from Vaulting and Volleyball. V-ball is tough though, I can find the athletes, but not so many images from Beijing

I think the expressions are great in some of these.
Does anyone have any more cool close ups on faces?
There's gotta be some more good stuff in the sprinting and weight lifting I'm sure.



Also NPR has a nice gallery of photos, but you can't right click to save any of them. Still pretty cool though since you can browse by sport/day
