- Im in community college and have my GE done mostly (2 left).

-I've come across some really great pro' artists and they always ask "have you considered art center?" Yes I have, theres a few pros and cons to going there, the pros are obvious and i wont go into the cons here (nothing against the school, just personal/situational stuff).

-ANYWAY, :), my plan at this point is to go to cal state fullerton (spring or fall 09) and major with a focus in illustration or drawing/painting. Just wondering if theres any illustration majors or other art majors that have an opinion or suggestions on their major(s).

Not much help here, but for people searching in the future, ive talked with some great artists like joe weatherly and kevin nguyen who went to cal state fullerton (aside from other schools) and they seemed to like it for the most part.

They recommend getting some instruction from the source from the other schools/teachers around LA like vilppu, art center night classes, or some of the ateliers, etc. which is what ive been planning for.

Those all sound like valid points. Getting a well rounded education from a variety of sources is great but you haven't exactly told us what it is you want to do AFTER you take all of these classes. Just because one wants to have a major in drawing/ painting/ illustration & such- what's the goal beyond the degree??
