Online degree courses

I did some searching and found a few places that offer an online correspondence degree in the form of a BFA illustration. I was wondering if these courses are worth their salt or just a waste of time and cash.

Any advice or opinions welcome.

I'd be more skeptical than I would be of a brick amd mortar school, but not all online programs are a waste.
