I wonder if the wing veins would really cast such heavy shadows as that. Perhaps if the shadows were gone but the wings cast little patches of dappled light on her instead?

The contrast is too strong, and the woman's skin shadows and highlights seem too soft. I like the leaves, bug, and the armor.
