In this one tutorial I've watched, the artist seemed put brushes on a key he customized. I've looked at the edit shortcut thing but I do not know how to do it. Can anyone enlighten me on that? Mind you I have PS CS2.
Much thanks

You have to create an action that selects the brush from the presets palette, and then assign a shortcut to that action. I use a Nostromo keypad to create one-key shorcuts to my brushes.

Damn, that's such a good idea, I don't know why it never occurred to me. I use a variety of brushes, but I always return to the same 2 or 3 for a vast majority of my painting, and having those hotkeyed would be a big time saver.
Thanks!

Thanks itchy, but i don't quite understand how to make an action. I understand the other parts but i don't know how to make an action in the keyboard shortcuts and menus.

Open the actions palette - there is a menu at top right. Click on Start Recording, then click on the brush icon in the tool palette, then on the specific brush you want in the Tool Presets palette. Stop recording the action, give it a name and then assign a shortcut to it.
