Maybe you could check out the anatomy of large animals similar in shape to what you have here... maybe a rhinoceros or a hippo, then blend it with a wolf or large cat to get what you're going for. The limbs and back look a bit off.

The saddle on a riding animal is typically just behind the shoulders, not the middle of the back. Putting it where you have it seems to make the back bow and would probably create mobility problems.

The strap that goes under it's arm would likely not be there on such a large quadruped (or it would go *over* the shoulder, as upposed to under). The shoulder takes up most of the side of the animal and the arm would attach close to the underside, leaving a greatly reduced chest. To get the effect you seem to be going for here, the buckle on the side would probably attach closer to the bottom of the saddle and come up to connect on that neck dealie you have going there.

All that said, I like the design, particularly the horns. I absolutely love animals with such substantial shoulders and carriage. It's nifty :)

the saddle on the back looks almost as if its sunk in deep into the animals flesh.
yeah... that strap is gonna cause a lot of chaffing.
and the far legs you filled in black, i think if you left those just as an outline w/no details, it'll look much better. for the farther back legs, they wouldnt be on teh same plane as legs closest to the viewer. animals stand as if theyre straddling, instead of a runway model,
good luck, thats a good start.
