Looking through the collections on this website really cracked me up (especially the portraiture collection). (http://www.museumofbadart.org/collection/portraiture.php)

It's not really the work that makes it funny, but the descriptions. Obviously a lot of those pieces were probably student ones (some of them HS and earlier), but those descriptions you so often see really parody "Art Reviews."

But I think it also makes a more serious statement that, through wording, you can make anything seem positive.

The books are fantastic...I think I own them all.

I used to work in an office about ten minutes away from the collection (which is in the basement of a movie theater), but I never saw them in person. Their hours and mine didn't coincide.

I threw out a HUGE amount of old art this Fall, and I live in terror of seeing any of it turn up in the MOBA collection.

To be fair, the art is really, really bad...but it's kind of interesting, too. MOBA knows that. They don't take just ANY crap :)
