Is there an easy way to update files between PS7 and paint8?
Often I have the same file open in both painter and PS, if I save it in painter , opening in PS is updated automatically, but If I save in PS again, Painter doesn't reconise the file is updated, I would need to manually close it and open it again.
This is tedious when I have to do it every minute or so.

Hi,
I'm not sure what you mean about automatic update in Photoshop.
I opened the same file in both Paiinter 8 and Photoshop 7, painted a brushstroke in Painter 8, saved the file again with the same file name, went to Photoshop 7, and (of course) the image was still the same as when I first opened it there.
I had to close the file, then open it again in order to show the additional brushstroke.
I works the same in reverse. If you paint something on the Photoshop image, save it with the same file name, then go to Painter, you'll need to close the image and open it again in order to see the brushstroke added in Photoshop.
If I'm missing something, please let me know.

You don't have to close it, just open the file again, and photoshop will let u update it.
But better still if I could have some scripts that update the file from each program with a single click...
BTW painter8 doesn't work this way, it thinks the same file is opened so it ignors it
