hey CA friends! This is conceptual art for Grant Morrisons MBX, a new online animating series developed by Virgin Comics and Perspective Studios. It's based on the epic Indian poem, the Mahabhatara. The poem contains stories of Krishna and an epic battle that eventually destroys the whole earth....pretty heavy for a poem written thousands of years ago!:)
As you can see, I used a lot of indian motifs and fractals to enhance the art, as well as the amazing pattern brush in Painter...Thanks for looking!

I really enjoyed your studies... it reminds me of Andrew Jones motifs and the clothing it´s quite exotic, distinctive and a mix of exquisite, odd, alien and mythic.

I would have liked to see more of the insane aesthetics that come from original Indian mythology, but this is a pretty snazzy interpretation of the mahābhārata itself. Anyone who even attempts to put a visual twist on a nearly 2 million word archaic poem gets kudos from me :P
