I'm Not Crazy

I'm not typically a fan of fan art, but I was compelled. Couldn't find any good reference for the facial expression I wanted (that sarcastic, pissed off look he gets whenever a mobster calls him crazy), so I tried it from memory.

dem0n, Elwell, and sourgasm - Yeah, I see what you guys mean. I think I'll probably go back into this a little bit and make some tweaks. Like Lotet said, it seems like all the Joker images you see are just crazy, goofy, or a combination of the two. One thing I loved about the Heath Ledger Joker is that he was all of those, but not all the time and the humor came from his darkness. I wanted to give a sense of that moment just before he might do something crazy or sadistic. But if he's coming across as just stoned, then that's a problem I'd like to fix. Thanks!

I see Robert Smith of The Cure with a very smug expression more than I see Heath Ledger's definitive portrayal of a sarcastic and pissed off Joker.

Having said that, the work itself is great - no one can fault you for that. :)

Alrighty. An update. I think I like this one better now. Added some brow wrinkles, a bit of a snarl, and tried to make the tongue in his cheek a bit more prominent. It's not QUITE the look I had in mind, but this feels more like the Joker to me in any case now. Thanks everyone for all the feedback and keep it coming!
