I've heard good things about both in terms of design, but I've heard alot more about trans from ACCD. (The teaching quality is one thing, but make sure you're also looking at the connections you stand to make.)

both schools are #1 and 2, the order differs depending on who you talk to, alot of people apply to both. CCS has the advantage of having a very close relationship to the American big 3 (General Motors, Ford, and Daimler Chrysler AG) while Art Center is on the west coast where there are alot of other satelite design studios for most other companies, and the number is only growing. Do some research and you'll find a lot of info.
The reality is its hyper competitive, I mean who wouldn't want to design for ferrari or porsche right, I heard someone at school tell me there are only a handful of jobs open a year and your not just competing with the kids in your class, but in every other school that are gunning for the same thing.
So work work work, I have transportation friends at school and they litterally live there for days at a time.
hope this helps

You're talking about the top two programs here. Each has its merits. Both programs literally have each others alums teaching there so the quality of education is very comparable.

Both schools have a ton of their alums working in the field and I would highly suggest you take a visit to each campus and compare for yourself. See where you fit in.

As someone who's visited both campuses (I'm a CCS graduate but will try not to have any biases here because I'm not a Trans guy and I have friends on both schools), each has its own strengths. The big differences that stand out in my mind are that Art Center has the weather. CCS has the on campus housing and is cheaper. Facilities wise, I'd say they're comparable and the quality of the work out of both programs is stellar. Both programs are HIGHLY competitive and do a great job as far as getting their grads out to the markets.

I don't think you'd go wrong in choosing either program.

Again, my big thing with anyone considering schools is to take a tour of each of the campuses personally and see how it feels to you. Obviously you're the person there that has to feel comfortable with it all.
