Great anatomy studies. I see you're getting the hang of it. The poses you drew are really dynamical and I must say your studies look better the more I scroll down. I like the last drawing you posted. The muscles and bone structure are really well done. Keep it coming :D

Really great anatomy studies, I think the next step is drawing from life! So keep at it and keep us updated.

I really don't like the anime style that much, but I think you're changing my mind.

On both pictures where a character is holding a sword, their hand looks wonky. And the arm looks wonky on the last one too, but it can be easily fixed by adjusting the angle of the sword. Assuming he's swiping it at something, its line of action should be pretty much a continuation of his arm.

If you plan to do more anime characters with swords (which I hope you do), I'd say to go buy a sword or dagger (or both!) for you to use as reference in a mirror.

Keep up the awesomeness!

nice work so far dude.

as i told you on MSN, i suggest you get a grasp of anatomy by drawing on location. this could really help improve the right side of your brain.

and don't draw what you think you see, but draw what you see ^^,

^ is using your right side of the brain when drawing useful? i heard of a similar thing in posemaniacs.

your style is really lovely and your anatomy seems really good too. i can tell your strong point is the head. keep up the good work. you'll go far~

Your doing pretty well mate.

The quality of the line work is where I can see the most improvement.

This Animixter guy has the makings of a legend, seriously.

Look at his anatomical studies. It's so perfectly proportional (at least from what I see) and it looks naturally dynamic.

Hey Animixter, could you tell me how long it took for you to draw those anatomical sketches (those posing figurines without faces or clothes in your sketches)?

I would be the happiest guy alive if I can even draw 1/10th as good as your figurines.
