Thought you all might like to see a new piece that Justin Gerard did for our studio.
This was all created in Photoshop with a Wacom. We had some questions about the readability of the small mice in the foreground. What do you all think?

Wow,
Freaking lovely! Thanks for the look.
I would love to see you crispin up a bit more on some of the focal points on your next one. Just a thought.
great work,

Hey, that's really cute, or something. The storyteller is nicely animated.
I'm not sure about this, but it seems since you use darker values on the bats that you could also afford some contrast/darks on the focus point at the camp or foreground vegitation. Perhaps it would ruin the misty atmosphere tho.

That's what I was thinking too. Just a tad crisper around the little guys upfront. Other than that, this is such a great piece. I wish I had art like this to enjoy when I was a little boy. :balloon:

I like the mice. My only thought concerns the giant pumpkin, it looks too flat. There isn't much distance conveyed between the storyteller mouse and the foremost part of the pumpkin.
Really fun image.

Eh, Disney sucks ass. I like this piece though. Great atmosphere and great rendering, but i agree with the above crits, some darks in the foreground would be nice.
Other then that, love it.

What they said, and the light seems to be coming from nowhere. If it's supposed to be a fire, the little mice should be spaced out a bit more.
