Howdy... I'm looking for someone to draw a webcomic I started but am really just unable to do myself. I'm really just looking to have a once a week comic (Sundays), and while I started drawing it myself, it takes me a while to draw it... usually about two weeks... I'm no good at comic style.
The basis of the comic is animals and their owners, and is taken from my own life... Scripts can be given well in advance, in batches if that was preferred. Because these are my animals and such, there isn't a whole lot of freedom in drawing what they look like, but that can all be worked out and discussed, too... I'm somewhat flexible..
I am looking for color, but not stuck on the idea... the artist will need to do the word balloons and all that, though...
This is a non-paying job, but should things progress and there are any income from ads, merchandise, etc, it will be a partnership... I've already seen one instance where the writer took the money and the artist got little... That's not my style at all. The artist does as much, if not more of, the work in a web comic... and any earnings should be split fairly.
The current dregs of the comic are here: curtumevexas.com (http://www.curtumevexas.com/) . The earlier comics are more the style I'm looking for, but don't want them to look just like that... more meaning the 'professionalism' of the look. I would also like to stick with the format shown there, but, again, I'm flexible and can likely be talked into something different..
