What are the best Oil painting art brushes to buy in the UK and do you know of any shops that sell them. Right now I have access to Pro Arte, Winsor and Newton, and Daley Rowney.

Also what are the differences between Hog and Sable and what are each used for?

What is the best combination of sizes for painting? And what should I buy in what sizes when it comes to round heads and flat heads?

And finally, are there any guides or threads out there that help with these questions and also on how to clean brushes, palette mixing, and any other useful advice?

Also I am thinking about painting in pure greyscale, whether that is a cool or warm, I'm not sure yet. What do you think are the best colours to mix for a neutral dark/black colour? Maybe Burnt Umber and Prussian Blue? Also for these kind of paintings what white would you recommend? The usual Titanium or a zinc, or maybe something else?
