Bloody fantastic, I love everything about your entry. The mood, the vision, I particularly like how your Mr Freeze is acting like every man would when in the company of two hot women (lucky bastard).

Not giving up on my attempt though hope to have a WIP pic up tonight.





A quick question, does anyone know if we can do Batman of the Future Villans? 'Cus there's some right kick-ass ones in that series, even for a cartoon.

OK ! I have had a total rethink about the penguin and decided I am not the man to pull that FAT BIRDMAN off ,so I am making a short quick turn around and doing Doctor Death..
I know its the 11th hour of the week but I think I have more of a Doctor Death in me than a Penguin..
So heres my really quick rough sketch I am going to skip doing a detailed drawing and go straight to paint .. EEEEEeeekkkk two days to go . I can do it I can do it ;)

here's my last sketch for the Riddler. Going for old world, distinguished gentleman. As a character, he's trying to look the part. He wishes he were part of that world. That class. But he wasn't born into that caste. He's been overlooked and stepped on for a good portion of his life...and now with Gotham's Underworld in chaos, he sees a small window to not only get back at society for ignoring him, but to rule some small part of it.

To keep with the color pallet of BB and DK, going for warm tones. I'm thinking he's wearing some exotic blend. Maybe some sort of camel hair...or something like that. Green is reserved for bow tie and hat only. No question marks...wouldn't be classy to advertise like that. No mask either, but the rim of the hat keeps his eyes in shadow.

I'll start refining this last tonight. I'd really like to finish and get going on the Penguin or maybe Catwoman.

Kian - MOtherFucker, thats worth the wait. Freeze is horrible, you're a freak, and I kidda wanna 'know' both ivy and the kitty in a biblical sence. I know, I need to get out more.

Cheers Stoat , sniff sniff , ding dong the wicked Penguin is dead.. I just kept getting pulled back into the tim burton version no matter what i tried - and if i didn't extreem him enough he kinda looked like a banker :(

Fantastic entries folks! I am having a difficult time picking a favorite so far.

My thought was Edward Nygma as a shady defense contractor peddling his two new suits of armor (soon to be Mr. Freeze and Firefly in one story form or another - and since Batman Begins had its fair share of body armor, tech and gadget tests it seemed to fit). For the sequal he's gone bonkers from the dastardly deeds his inventions enabled, plus his fixation with the nearly-as-naughty Batman, lead him to become the Riddler - but here he's just a sleazy pitchman/inventor.

Here is my intial sketch/idea, to at least contribute (I bit off more then I could chew with my initial idea I believe - and life and work conspire against me. :()! Not nearly gritty or sleazy enough at this stage, but I was kinda looking forward to playing around with the armor designs at least to see how they turn out.

Good to hear from you kiddo - I try to get to life drawing as much as possible but it is a bit of a challenge these days.

Love the pic your doing, the character design as always with your stuff is very strong .It has a great Alice in wonderland feel to it ;)
Personaly I have struggled trying to keep mine gritty and real it is a challenge , but I feel I have cracked it with the latest one that I am painting-I will hopefully have it finished by tomorrow night-lots left to do to try to get the painting real .. Shhheeeessshhhhh!

It started out as a CHOW, I swear, but once I slapped down some inital base colors a POW broke out - it resembles a comic panel way too much and the brief/movies way too little. :( I'm going to try to darken things up a bit (read: alot) as I continue, but I am having difficulty at this point (I know I am relying too heavily on the lines with the Riddler, so changing their color and dropping their opacity way down may get me out of the rut) - any suggestions on how to move this away from a comic and into the brief would be welcome and much appreciated!

PS - I am sorry about your cat Whistler. Losing a pet is a terrible thing and my heart goes out to you. :(

Talia Al Ghul. I think she would make an excellent villian as a continuation from the first in Batman Begins in perhaps a 'revenge' mode against Batman/Wayne for the supposed death of her father. Her supposed Asian/arabic heritage is a difficult combo to imagine.
