hellow everyone. i gave up my 3d animation career to learn art as i found being a person with pencil is far more creative and intresting then simply being a man with machine.(i was an animator on 3ds max and maya),(i want to start now as story board or illustration artist) i know nothing in art and therefore am taking a big risk. i started to draw 3 months back. here are my some drawings. i am currently doing 30 sec drawing from posemaniacs.com and gesture drawing with the help of vilppu drawing manual. side by side i am studying anatomy also. i need your expert comments to improve my self. please help me. thank you all in advance.(please do tell me if i have posted in wrong section)

Ha, those first two pages looks like you tore them from my sketchbook! Seriously, we have a very similar style when drawing poses. :)
My best advice is to just keep doing what you're doing.

Hey, I think you are doing very well for a first attempt. The 30 sec. poses and gestures are great, they are dynamic with a nice sense of movement. The first three have a better line quality than the others, I guess it is because the short time made you draw a line in one single long stroke instead of 100 short lines. Some of the skulls and muscle heads are somewhat out of proportion, the shading is inaccurate and some details are not right- get a better reference and do lots of still lifes to practice shading, maybe with a plastic skull. Draw everything you see and take your sketchbook everywhere, continue with what you are already doing, you'll improve really fast.

thanks a lot to everyone for replying. while drawing gestures i usually take all the poses by my self and do not draw them till i feel them my self. i am practicing shading also. right now i am using 10b pencils, is it correct to use it.

Nice soft pencils are always good to use! I never heard of 10B, though. I think 9B is the max 'round these parts.
Nice looking gestures. Why don't you start a sketchbook so we can all watch you get better?
