hey peeps

been a while since my last posts. i have been pretty busy preparing my next move to canada, quite hard finding time between my old company and the new one.
i'm very exited to go back to montreal for good, it's a marvelous place, and i'm sure i'll enjoy life back there.

hope you'll like these

Welcome to Montreal, it's not that cold in winter compared to the rest of Quebec. I can guess which games they'll have you working on... Playmobil-Ray-Man!

these are really great!! i know people have probably asked you before, but do you do all of your composing and your sketches right in photoshop? or do you work things out first on paper?

hey, thanx for the kind words

redmond: yea, a little bit of cold weather will be good for me. and nope, i'll be on another project, a guy with a sword, and some large white pants. ;)

daarken: i rarely work on paper anymore. i'm attracted by puter screens like a night bug flying towards light. i do all my sketches in photoshop, nothing else.
i miss doing sketching sessions, but choices have got to be made. thanx mate

khangle81: yea, i missed being in these american atmospheres. it will be perfect for me. mixed cultures is better for me.
besides, they've got so many cool beers, so it just cannot be bad, heh?

strych9ine: well here's one for ya, i updated the first post with this 30 minutes "bot" sketch. ;)

mushuhaha: hehe thanx :D
Mabruk: never be ashamed of your own art, unless it helps you improving in your artistic approach. :) thanx!

smellybug: my wife told me she wasn't to interested about this idea :D

stormeffex: thanx mate

thanx for your replies. :D

Sparth mate, you make it seem so easy...that first one with the chunky look is excellent and the lighting etc really makes you feel the weight of the object is really being suspended in mid air...when anti-gravity starships are built they will not be much different from your interpretations....

Mmmm..yeah a little bit like Homeworld...cool

I like the middle one a lot. It's too cool to be in videogame unfortunately - that's what kills me.

Do you use a round brush or a shape? Because I haven't been able to get the sharp edges at the end of my brush strokes like you have. I wind up with a lot of rounded edges, even when I use a smaller brush.

Also what resolution did you work at on these?
