My Holy Knight, from the realm of brightly coloured clothes, where all men stand equally short and have big hands!
Note to self: Do not always use colours because they are closest to you.
Looks a bit dwarfy, dontcha think?

Gonzo- would a giant red afro have been a little to over the top?

Scrubbin Bubbles: I contemplated that and making his boots striped. I'd love to see anyone do a Sir Ronald and up the potential liability ante.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, We are happenings..."
Warm greetings, DSG... I've gotta go for a brief little while, but expect to return just in time to sketch ninja-star snowflakes, wayward gnomes, and mutated reindeer. Be of good cheer and have a holly-jolly halloween.

10 minutes. i'm standing up to run out the door right now! i didn't get a chance to finish the shield, add blood splatters, or all the severed body parts in the background. :) the perspective's off. the legs need some help.

i imagine that this pattern repeats in any person : they may start out with the best intentions or the purest alignment, but if they're subjected to the worst possible condition they can't help changing.
anyway. that was the thought behind this: he might still be a paladin and holy warrior fighting on the side of God, but after slaughtering demons, suffering wounds and being drenched in internal organs he's just not the same shiny white guy any more.

5 for 5! not nearly my best work, but ok considering I am as sick as a dog. I wanted to paint this one, but cant sit up for very long without getting dizzy. Decided to go with a more cartoony character. Looking forward to tomorrows (if I feel better) Good work everyone... especially like the really "quick" looking ones.

My time got cut short again. :( This is about 30 minutes of messing around.

Daniel, that's awsome! I really like the ray of light. The army behind him is suprisingly clear despite it being really just a mass of squiggles. I very much want to learn how to do that!
Olsen, cool. You have the same kind of squiggle army thing goin, I like it alot.
Wingz, he's so... colorful! And ouch, his hand is being cut by the sword.
ZenGonzo - LOL! It took me a couple seconds to notice all the McD's paraphanalia (sp?) he's a good knight as well as a cute parody.
Ddesign - wild 80's hair, lol. Proportions are a little wonky, do you draw from life? I'd probably help your skills alot. :)
Hunger Artist, he's pretty holier than thou. I think some glowing fanatical eyes would bring it all together... :D
Guggen, see ya in a bit!
Josphey, I like it! Very clean lines. The straightness of the appendages make me think of a cyborg.
Plaf, looks good as always. I think I like some of the stuff you've done in another style more. Maybe you just didn't spend as much time on this one. :)
Vimmzy - haven't been able to see it. Red x of doom.
DV8, cute! Maybe quick but still shows alot of skill. I hope you feel better soon.
Leslief, it looks good. I like seeing him in action! Tablet takes some time to get used to.
Ayato, lol. And beautifully done as always.
Fresh, I like the castle background, and that you blurred it so it really falls into the background.

Trying (and failing miserably) to figure out how to paint using those low opacity brushes, sort of how Craig Mullins does some of his stuff. Silly experiments.

Olsen-- I like the sketchyness
danielh68-- I love the colors and painterly qualitiy.
Velo-- sweet work. I like the pose and the proprtions look good, the legs look alittle weird but thats it.
Clockwork-- Nice un-holy knight.
jose-- Legs look off, but good for you to try an interesting perspective.

fukifino, have you tried setting the brush to multipy? Might help build up the volume.

olsen: you can tell it's a quickie, but i like the expression in there. sweet!
aaand clocktowerartworks: great lines. reminds me of some of the artwork in those fighting fantasy books we were all reading back in the late 80s. or was that early 90s. oh well. same same.

danielh68- I like the second one. Nice painted feel.
fukifino- Craig rocks. However, my tip to you would be to turn up the opacity of your brushes and block in the different shapes with a heavy opaque before lowering the opacity for details and such. using references for your sketches would help alot too.
Velo- The secret of squiggly armies is spears, just make a big blob of shapes that stretch to the horizon, add a few wellplaced highlights and then the spears. Banners and flags helps a lot too. Keep the details to a minimum untill you get it right.
I would like to comment on everyones but i just woke up and my brain isnt working yet. Sorry. Hope to see you all next DSG and thanks for all the nice comments on my humble sketch.:)

Yeah, I really did need to block in with something with more substance. That and I think I was a little TOO loose there.
And yes, a lack of reference on this one definately hurt, hehe. But I just wanted to do SOMETHING...if I fretted over a referrence last night I probably wouldn't have drawn anything at all, and that's not very useful. :)
Thanks for the comments/tips gang.
