So I'm hoping someone can help me with this:
I have CS3 on a windowsmachine. Was playing around with my linetool today, go to fix some coffee and when I come back my youngest son has removed all presets except the one arrow. I have looked through my computer from top to bottom, and they are nowhere. Not in the presets, nowhere else...

So I'm wondering if anyone has the linetool presets that comes with the original?
I can't use my linetool to make straight lines with now and that is a pain in the ***. All I can do is a big black arrow.

I would be very much grateful for it.

Option is to reinstall Photoshop, but that makes me loose all my presets and have to go through the hassle of looking up and saving all my preset brushes, colourswatches, actions etc etc.
Hence I try the easy way out first ;)

i remember i had this problem too a long time ago when i was a PS noob... i couldnt figure out how to stop making arrows event though i had the line tool selected and NOT the custom shapes tool.

right now im trying to replicate the problem and i cant.. I have the line tool selected , i clicked the arrow next to custom shapes and unchecked the 'start' / 'end' boxes, and i can make lines.. if i click the custom shapes, i make custom shapes.. but i know that this is just a simple setting that makes it so that you make arrows when using the line tool. all you have to do is turn it off somehow

YEah, my problem is that when I have the linetool chosen, if I hit the Tools Preset, there is no line in there, only an arrow. If I don't have the line I can't make lines :(

ok click that arrow that is next to the 'custom shape' tool in your tool menu (at the top) ... you should see a menu that says ' arrows heads, start, end', etc.. make sure you unclick the start and end boxes, that should do it

also make the weight the smallest number possible, .035

It solved it somewhat, though I think I'd rather have my linetool presets back :p

But it works in the mean time. Thanks!
