Hi Oregano - howecome mine didn't make it to the poll? Did I do something wrong?

Voted for:

Shotgun Baby - Too darn cute! I love the tentacles :)

Orion9282 - my absolute favorite this round, I love the sketchiness of the design, really looks awesome. I've been staring at it for about two days... Wow.

Poshspice - great coloring and great job overall, the princess looks like your entry for Evil Genie :) (not that that's bad though, just something I've noticed)

Kian - you just made him look so awesome, great job with the background. Looks much better without the title.

Lev, Dabble, Phaethon, Shotgun Baby, Orion9282 Indus and Kian got my votes, nice job everyone!

Really dug Lev's the most ;)

I just realized I could've voted for more than one! I'm sorry, next time I'll look more carefully!
I voted for Kian, I loved his take on it and it had a very marsian, sci-fi feel to it.
Others I would've voted for include : Lukavi, Poshspice, dabble, and lev. I thought all of them really captured the marsian feel and they all had a good personality in the piece.

I LOVED these, it was so hard to pick. Good job everyone!

Hi Oregano - howecome mine didn't make it to the poll? Did I do something wrong?

Deon - no you're fine. I apologize - I accidentally skipped yours when I was grabbing them last night. I've got it posted now and I gave you 5 comp votes because I blew it. :ore:

Thanks,
~Oreg.

No worries, Oregano:) Wow - I think 5 votes is a bit much for my humble attempt, though:jawdrop:
I voted for a whole lot of people, because there's so much good stuff here. I am really going to have to up my game:)
Stoat - What happened, man?

As much as I'm in love with /ev's rendering, I have to give my vote to kian. His piece is not only wonderfully rendered but very evocative and portrays a deep emotional side of this character which I think is missing in the original posters and covers.

Voted for Indus. Felt it was the most original of the group. Putting the hero in danger set it apart compositionally. Turning the cape into a red leather jacket was a great choice, also like the chaps making it a sci-fi western, smart. The crown of gun scopes is a dramatic touch.

I voted for the Shotgun Baby.
in fact I can't recognize the design of John Carter clearly in this pic but
I can imagine the whole world of the Mars where John Carter is in stylized by Shotgun Baby. I really like this style.

and Thank you for your comment armando.

Hope not too late my vote...
