Finished piece... its alright for my first painting on painter 8.

Very nice! I like the fact that you didnt draw the strings. I remember seeing a sketch for this and i like how it turned out. One thing though, the Guitar seems to have an olive tinge to it.

Looks great. Given the perspective though, your guitar neck looks like it's too long or angled backward.

yay i'm near the bottom now...

thanks for your comments... the few that did.

bgermain - thanks! i actually went back and took my guitar and looked at the perspective, but it was actually okay. although my teacher said that it would be better if it had frets on it to help support the perspective, which i agree too and that it looks slightly bent towards the guitar player. but i'm happy the way it turned out considering most of it was made up, and it was based off a sketch i did... i'll do better on the next one

nice, how did i miss this. , well i lovethe colour and it has a nice composition. the face is waht rally attracts me to the piece. it has captured i good deal of the human being in a way.

i like it and oh yeah some detail on the guitar would be nice

Yeah, since guitar necks taper at the top it gives kind of a goofy look in perspective all by itself when shown from that angle. It almost cancels out the perspective effect.
