Howdy all.

This here are my life drawings from SCAD. I did most of these 2 to 3 years ago. I've gradumakated from SCAD in 2002 and havent really done any lifedrawing since. Mainly cause I can't find any cheep classes down in South Florida. If anyone knows of any in the Boca Raton - Ft. Lauderdale area that run in the evening time, let me know about them. I need to sharpen my skillz. Also, if a bunch of you gather for drawing groups (i.e. meet up in a bar or a coffee house and draw the night away) and wouldn't mind me joining you, let me know.

these first few are 1 minute-long poses

I took a Painting Comics class at SCAD with George Pratt but no one in the class knew how to draw. So instead of teaching us how to paint George made us draw. He started us off with 5-second gesture drawings and after a half hour of that he increaced our time to 10-seconds. and after another half hour to 15-seconds and so on.

this is the only 5-second sketch that actualy looked like it wasn't a squigle:

oh, one weekend during george's class he rented the printmaking lab and the few of us that were able to wake our asses up at the buttcrack of 9am, and still be somewhat coherent to do some art, got together to do some monoprints. Scott Hampton came down from Chappel Hill and we all had a damn good time. Here's the end result:

Great linecontrol you´re showing! I really like all the stuff here and would rather like to see more.

As a comment to lifedrawing - make a small portfolio of your stuff and simply ask friens and people doing some model for you. I´m not sure how easy it is in the US but when they get home with a nice picture I suppose that you easily will find someone to draw.
