Well,
Here's a piece I did for a contest over on Blizzard. This is pretty much my first attempt at toning a pencilled image on the computer.
C&C welcome.

Hey good job! I checked out your website too, I actually like this piece the most from you, nice action and linework. The only comment I have is that the skull area on the skeleton warrior is a lot clearer on the original, I couldn't really tell what was going on there in the finish piece, maybe its just me. When will we see the color?

pff what barb uses an axe. Its all about the dual grandfathers. Or doombringers.
Also he should clearly be using a staff class weapon if hes fighting undead. 150% damage! Its very good though.

Well I like it, though his left arm (our right) doesn't look quite right.
In truth, it looks far better than most of the blizzard concept art =)

Hey Jer
love the toned version! Instantly looks much more dramatic than the lineart. Really like the way you've used the light and shadow in the image. Go for colour now!

Hey everybody,
Thanks for the great comments! I appreciate all your observations. It's so very entertaining to hear what people think because art is so relative to the viewer.
I've got a couple more pieces that are coming along and I'll post them up soon. In the meantime, I do have a piece up over on the Thunderdome thread.
Thanks again!

I think I like your penciled image better. The scratchy background looks great. I'm also a fan of the darkened edge thing, and you've done a great job at it.

Actually, I think it looks more like the Phallic Club of Righteousness.
