Spontaneous drawing. Put more work into it. Im starting to like it. But it seems to be lacking something...

i really like this, it reminds me of early capcom or square soft character designs. hmmm... the right hand doesn't seem to fit, hurry and finish i want to see how this turns out:cool:

two things: the head, and the weapon. both are needed in order to give to the drawing the initial balance you first had imagined.
especially the weapon. if you precise that area, by adding darker tones, the composition will suddenly be more rich.
be careful with one little detail: that same weapon is beeing on the same plane as the right shoulder. both elements should not interfere. it would be better to make the weapon pass behind the head, AND behind the shoulder.

concerning the general style, i'd say you could try to work a bit on the overall character, instead of studying one part after the other. it will probably give a more nervous feeling to your model too.
the pose is rich enough to continue and finish that drawing.
