A New Beginning

Hey guys I've only until recently known about CA and thought I'd start a sketchbook on here. These first few sketches are fairly recent and as the drawings progress they are a little older (anywhere from 3 months to 3 yrs)

Great stuff here Leroy! Really like your shading and delicate pencil work. Nice and realistic life studies too. Is the first picture drawn from photo reference?

Hey Yousa! Yeah the first drawing was from a photo off the sports illustrated mag from recent. I bought that mag and started drawing the shit out of it! haha! It had been a while since I had done any realism work. A few of the other drawings were just brain farts and just feeling out really organic line work. I'm glad your enjoying the artwork. The girl on the eleventh drawings is totally out of proportions... her head is like cut off... Fix the problems learn the proportions and man, ADD some shadows...

Hey Clanlord thanks for pointing out the proportions. Its been a while since I've done any human figure drawings and I need to get those proportions back in tune haha! Shading always seems to kick my ass
