I don't know if anyone's heard about this already;

"It is a fund raising event to support Hayao Miyazaki’s cause to save Totoro Forest in Japan, at Pixar Animation Studios on September 6th. We have more than 200 pieces of art work by internationally acclaimed artists from animation, comics, fine arts, and illustration. Every art work was created specially for this project." (from Dice Tsutsumi's blog)

The website's got some great work in the gallery, plus i've always been a big fan of totoro. i need to start saving some monies!

I'm about to head off to bed and won't have access to the net until late Saturday but damn there are some beautiful pieces in there and some really great reputable artist too. Definitely worth checking out, I'll have to check every piece when I get back. A lot of artists people would recognize....

Man, seems like everybody I know and their mom participated in this wonderful event! I'm going to try to put away a couple of paychecks to bid on some of these pieces. So gorgeous and a great way to bring together so many artists... and to help Totoro's woods <3
