painting in photoshop

hey guys,

new to the digital painting experience. what do i need to know? where can i find this knowledge?

please drop me any advice. all comments/suggestions will be much appreciated.

lookup the hot keys thay help alot
e.g when in paintbrush mode alt = eyedropper and spacebar is the hand tool...

and do lots of tutorials you may also want to do figure drawing studies etc
there are lots of tutorials here and on deviantart.
