This is such a great acomplishment that I have to share it with everyone:
I just beat Final Fantasy II. (And I didn't die at all on the final boss battle) :arcfreak:

No, but that would make it an even greater acomplishment... It took me roughly 20 hours. :D

At least there are like 10 more of them after that one so you got plenty to do!

Ever play Chrono Trigger? I'm not much into the whole anime blue hair thing but thats a classic RPG too, probably best game for SNES i've played.

Chrono Trigger is very close to beign the greatest RPG so far, if not THE greatest so far.

Did you have the snes version of ff 2, or did you have the final fantasy chronicles that had ff2 and chrono trigger together for ps1? Either way both games are phenomanal. Although, im really partial to ff7. 8 and 9 were okay. 10 was one of the coolest ever. yay rpgs!

Yeah I think Chrono Trigger is the best console RPG imo. There was another game I got into in the SNES, i think it was like terranigma or some strange name, if anyone knows it please correct me. Had some strange bgs n stuff. Frog was the man, I think i played the game straight through 3 times when i beat it was so good. The best part is that it is real time, i hate turn based games usually so that made it even better for me.
For PC though I'd say the Baldur's Gate series is probably the best RPGs ever made. I think I have every game in the series. Fallout was anohter good one but turnbased.

I have the snes version, but it doesn't save. Thus, I downloaded the rom and played on my computer. :-)

its hard to remember "back in the day" when alot of those cartridge games still didn't have a battery back-up. crazy.

what about chrono cross, chrono trigers sequal , the best of the next gen ( at the time) rpgs . hell i have played this 12 times and the charcter variation each time is amazing. it changes it's script in a lots of way in key moments depending on the party you have with you.
also try frint mission 1 and 3 on the snes and playstation and also final fantasy tactics. god i miss the old squaresoft ,sniff

Hey GirafeEnFeu,
Just so you know the FF II you're playing for the SNES is actually FF 4. And FF III (for SNES) is actually FF 6. There were a few games that were never ported over from Japan (until recently) so the US versions had different numbers.
Damn, you've never played CHRONO TRIGGER?! Akira Toriyama is the head designer of the game (you know, dragon ball creator) and it has an excellent soundtrack.
The look and feel of that game was very radical for it's time.

hehe i just found my dragon warrior 1 and 2 cartridges the other day when I found my old nintendo. Gonna sell everything though, taking up too much room.
Those dragon warrior games were tough too, i think i got to the end on all 4 of them and only beat one of them.
