That while surfing through the craigslist.org "art/media/design" job adverts ,i found that the highest paying art job was $12 an hour and the highest paying model job was $40 bucks an hour!
If the model had to pay thousands and thousands of dollars to get a "model" degree and/or work tirelessly for years on honing their skills I would understand it. But it's nothing like that, most of the lifedrawing models we have at our school are highschool dropouts that have no direction in their life.
Don't get art education, get nekkid!
Sorry, but I am pissed!

I hate to tell you, but more people are willing to draw than pose naked.

I think it all depends what you do kortez. I did a freelance job for sony, and i'm just a punk kid. It was only a small amount of work but still i got 18 an hour. But i know most of my teachers who are unreal artists do not work for a mere 12 bucks and hour. I guess it all depends

Real modeling is very difficult. Working with a good model is an intense experience.

theres a lot of overpaid people on the planet, much like actors and athletes. Nothing I can do about it. If your the best at what you do it can bring you some fortune. I've seen some designers and consultants charging over $150/hr.
