My first try at some other coloring methods than cell-coloring

I need suggestions on the background and some honest c&c cuz the only critz I have gotten so far are: Kewl, Not dramatic enough, gay.

The shadow doesn't work according to the light source you've shown on the body.

Seeing as that pose is a bit too dramatic for somebody to model for you, I'd recommend buying a Marvel Legends/ Spider-Man Classics multiposable toy and studying the way that the shadows and light play off of it. You'd be surprised how much that can help. :)
