Space Invaders Part Deux

Hope I did this well enough this time that the attachments post . Anyway... got some work done during a recent layoff from a factory job and did a small round of submissions to the big name animation studio's (from whom I'm taking my cues towards putting the portfolio together). I'm disapointed to not be working yet but a couple of "We'll keep you on file" letters from a couple of big name places is encouraging.

I see my share of crits now that I've come back to this stuff after a little while but I am braced for C&C. Also any industry perspective or thoughts would be cool. Hope these are worth checking out. Thanks, -Bill

Nice work, I really like the style and colours, the illustrations comes across really well and have a cool retro feel. I especially like the last few.

Maybe you could try and put a bit more subtlety into the shading of the large dark areas as the small patches are a bit distracting.

Otherwise I think its great

MnM & Conundrum, thanks you guys for the replies... for a minute there I was afraid I was gonna get shut out.

Conundrum, those flattened out dark spots are a byproduct of not pushing the values far enough in the actual drawing. In trying to get some contrast through photoshop I lost the hatching in the dark areas. They'll be better next time as I figure this stuff out. Thanks for the crit, I do appreciate it.
