Murderoscopy

For the next long while this sketchbook will contain a lot of different work, but most of it will be of these three characters (it's what I'm working on right now for a demo reel).

This is my main character concept, a post apocalyptic astronaut forced back down to Earth after the catasrophe. He's not a soldier, he's a scientist. However, he'd be nuts not to come down with a weapon, so he has a gun and a handful of other useful gadgets. I wanted to really portray him as someone who looks more like a thinker than a fighter, and definitely someone who'd run at the first sign of danger. He has a handy computer on his right arm, some protection on his left, and a survival suit as his main outfit. He's wearing a pair of space pants overtop of it like a pair of overalls (after all, a space suit is actually quite cumbersom, so he'd only wear a bit of it for protection). His air filtration/liquid and food service tube is hooked up to his mask, and his waste byproduct system is all in place.

This is the secondary character, a punk rocking steampunk-esque bard named Joan. She's supposed to look Hispanic, so forgive any problems with her facial features for now. Her outfit is mainly leather, with hardened parts to protect vital areas (leges, chest, arms). Her guitar is a steam-powered six-string with a built in amp, as well as a chainsaw on the bottom. A picture of the guitar is below...

And the last character is a cartoony frankensteine named EightBall, inspired by the GPW game Graveyard Smash (shameless plug). I'm rebuilding him as a higher poly character, and thought it'd be good to add some redesigns. His left arm is from a gorilla, he has both a zipper, and a screw holding his head together, and has a suspender helping to hold up his pants. I'm looking forward to this one especially out of all three. (note, he's the guy below...)

And that's it! Critques, feedbacks and ideas would be good. I know what colours Eightball and Joan are going to be, but I'm actually having some toruble with colour schems for the astronaut (I know they're known for being white, but Canadian Astronauts are actually Orange!) so any suggestions would be more than welcome.
