Hey everyone! First off, I just wanna say this is the most awesome forum EVER!

I'm 18 years old, from Fairfax county, Virginia. I am currently staying at my cousin's house in Barrington, IL. It's one-hour train ride from downtown Chicago. And I do take the train every Saturday to attend the Figure Drawing class for high schoolers. (even though I've already graduated)

Last Saturday was my first session. I liked the class over all. But I am not so sure about the teacher. She's this young Korean-accented woman (maybe a SAIC graduate herself). I mean she's nice and all, but she doesn't really talk during her demos. And i just think that she's too young to be teaching at SAIC. Anyways, I didn't like the lunch schedule either, because it was one-hour long. I totally think that 30 mins would be just fine. Anyway, the class did have some motivations. Everyone was willing to learn. So far, I give the class a B+...even though this is the first formal art class that I ever took. (yep, I didn't take any art classes in high school either)

And here are two 20-min sketches. My goal is to get into Calarts next fall. I am attending a community college this fall. I really don't have any art training background at all. The only thing I'm sure about is that I like to draw random cartoon characters.

So would you guys please give me some advise/suggestions or anything thoughts you might have. I really feel ashamed that I even have the guts to post my drawings in this forum. Seriously.

Oh, and I have a blog that I update almost daily about my life in Chicago for my friends. There are, of course, some entries for SAIC and drawing in general. (down here) I'll be appreciated if you guys can check it out and comment on it.
