Maybe it's been asked zillions of time before, but I would like to know what are good books on digital paintings? I would like to see some books that shows you how to paint realistic pictures digitally, step by step. I am having a heck of time trying to find anything good...went to all the bookstores and browsed through what is available, and could not find much. So far, I have these in my library:

Digital Fantasy Painting Workshop by Martin McKenna
The Painter 8 Wow! Book by Cher Threinen-Pendarvis

Those two book have detailed breakdown of how a digital painting is done, from start to finish, which I found helpful. If you have any other suggestions, put them down here.

wat?
its just a tool.

you can get a real book about painting itself, but learning how to paint on a software?
you just browse and search for tutorials on DA; there're even threads for photoshop and painter here in CA.

My coworker always recommend ImageFX membership magazines. I don't support magazines in general because I don't have time and there's Google, but it really dedicated to it. You might take a peek.

I forget the title but there's one by Don Seegmiller about digital painting. I haven't really done more than skim through it so I don't know if it's even worth recommending.
